I’m looking for a steering hub adapter for my ‘71. All the ones I find say they fit ‘72 up. Does anyone know what hub adapter is correct for ‘71.

A momo 8000 for the old school solid hub adapter. Luisi makes on also but I cannot confirm it works. Mom also has kit no. 0230 with the collapsible type. 8000’s are rare and hard to find.
Search for other threads on this. There are plenty. |

Search for other threads on this. There are plenty. I have been looking at this recently and the Momo boss 0230 (solid) is for the 914-6, 356 and 911 and C0230 for the collapsible version. The 8000 is for the VW spline. Edit. My interest has been in the boss for a 914-6. Looking at Dr B Johnsons book, the steering wheel from the pre 72 914-4 can be used but needs the boss at the back removing. This would indicate the spline is the same but would the 230 boss fit a 914-4 as the cowl is different? |
