Inherited the car gene (dominant in our family) so interesting cars were always around growing up. A friend of my dad was one of the 50 lucky people to "test" the Chrysler Turbine cars so this high school kid got to drive it.
Wanted a MGB-GT the worst way in high school but my dad was smart enough to not let me have a car until I graduated from college. Once I was accepted to med school he let me get my dream car, either a 2002 or 914. The rest is history- still have the 9/70 production date 1971 914 and it is still going strong after 50 years. And both my boys (and my 4 year old grandson) also inherited the car gene so it will always be in the family... |
