Are there any pads that go under where the gas tank sits to keep it from rubbing?

If so, any pictures of where they are placed?

Any type of foam pad should be avoided. They will retain moisture and rust out the tank from the outside to the inside. I am using a sheet of epdm rubber I got from Grainger Supply and cut to fit the shape I wanted. It has adhesive on one side and was glued to the body, not the tank. People also use pieces of the green scotchbrite scouring pads, but they too will retain moisture.
