I can't determine what treatment was used on a 70 regarding the underside. It looks like the steel was coated with something. Anyone have any ideas?

Come on guys, I thought only Fiat used salt water based paint!!! Ask my college room mate who had a 124 spider!! Lets not forget the 850 spider. Many of our 914's were undercoated with a tar like product at the dealers, some probably have Ziebart. From what I understand the only protection from the elements was a heavy coat of paint. |
