Looking for complete air cleaner with mounting bolt/wing nut for 73 1.7

jkb081: Do you have the build date from the EPA sticker on the rear door jamb? If not, how about the production number above the paint code on the Karmann plate in the front door jamb?

My '73 1.7 was built in September of '72 and has the round plastic cleaner, if that helps.

Also, Jamie: Thanks for the NAPA part number info! Just what I've been looking for.

BTW, NAPA website shows no options for ordering or picking one up, so it may be NLA. However, they cross reference to WIX 42909 and I found them on eBay for less than $7.

Hello. the only number on the car is stamped in the Karman plate. 2639599. There appears to be another number at the bottom of the same plate, however it is scratched so bad, I cannot read it. I can only make out maybe a 5 in the middle, and what looks like a K at the end. The VIN is 4732927001. The numbers in both trunks are covered up with undercoating.
