Well it's not like they don't have access to any engine they fancy; this new Hypercar will use the basic block of an in house V8, biturbo, and run on a non-gasoline fuel. They will be building the internals with a flat-plane crank (918'ish) for extra performance.
Basic block could be out of an Audi or Porsche SUV or sedan...we shall see ![]() |

Pic from our v8 build and the Cam sensor (red dot same spot. The large area in the upper V on these wide (90° V8) engines usually sport the starter motor up in there...not in our race build/ nor the Porsche Hyper'
Twin turbo Mercedes c63 v8, A/R Giullia v6 both run their blowers in this space. GM LS v8s like the Cayenne v8s stuff their starter motors in there>> mechanics Job Security (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ![]() |
