What is the largest tire you can shove under a 140# springed 914?
Does anyone know what offset, on a 8'wheel, is centered in the wheel wells? I'd like to put the biggest wheels and tightest tires a 914 can stand. Even if some modification is nessasary. The widest rims I've ever heard of anyone fitting on a 914 were 7". And that was with 195s or 205s. The 205s on many cars (on wide rims like that) require pulling the fenders out a bit. If you put 195s on 7" rims, the tire mounting guys will absolutely hate you...
Speaking of hate, I really hate the four-to-five adaptors. I don't think they're safe enough. Others have disagreed... --DD |
