You won't get spammed, I promise! I just want to be able to send out direct communication about the drive. I will also send out my home address for the Thursday BBQ. Thanks! In keeping with the tradition of the Route 66 event, this will once again be a multi-destination run. Here's the run down - Thursday April 21st - Arrive in Scottsdale for BBQ and shenanigans THURSDAY NIGHT HOTEL in Scottsdale - The Aiden by Best Western. Rooms are $119/night. Tell them you are with the Porsche Club. Click here for their website Friday the 22nd, Depart Scottsdale and head for the hills! Fountain Hills that is. Check out the world's largest fountain and then blast up the Beeline Highway through the saguaros and past Roosevelt Lake. We eventually take on all the twists and turns of Salt River Canyon and call it a day in the cool pines of Show Low, AZ. FRIDAY NIGHT HOTEL in Show Low - The Days Inn. Rooms are $95-$105/night. Tell them you are with the Porsche Club. Click here for their website Saturday the 23rd - Depart Show Low and drive through the largest stand of Ponderosa Pines in the World(yes, you read that right!) as we cross the Mogollon Rim making our way through Payson and then finally historic Cottonwood for Saturday night. SATURDAY NIGHT HOTEL - Super 8 - BOOK NOW as this is their high season and they would not hold very many rooms for me! You must tell them you are with "The Porsche Club" Link to hotel - Super 8 - Cottonwood Sunday the 24th - Call it a weekend and head home! These are some of the twistiest and most scenic roads in AZ, hope you can make it! More specifics will follow but we didn't want you to use "You didn't have enough notice" as an excuse to not go!
