Please let it be better than 81/83 (and Detroit and Dallas '84). Those were awful.
Though I do have a photo somewhere of Mansell trying to push his car across the line...what a bonkers weekend. |

I was about 20 feet from Mansell as he was pushing the car. I don't think this was ever in any of the pictures, but I can remember his crew lined up with their toes touching the line waiting for him to push the car across the finish line. They couldn't help until he actually crossed the line because it would disqualify him. The second the car nose crossed the line, it was like a bunch of racehorses coming out of the gate. Clay |

We arrived at the paddock (inside the convention center, cool) and I didn't want to get out...until a gruff Italian implied that we could do this the easy way or the hard way...I fit real nice in there, too. |
