I'm thinking to add a 911 oil temp & pressure gauge to the center console of my 914. I have a gauge from a '69-'74 911. Recently got the correct temp sensor for it. But it looks like this:
![]() I'm stumped on what kind of electrical connector Porsche used on this. All my Googling brings up nothing. Can't find anything on the main 911 parts sites. Any ideas? Thanks, Andrew B. |

So the top of the sender measures 8mm in diameter; a 1/4" female spade connector can be made to work, but you'll need to widen / reform the mouth carefully using needle nose pliers and a small screwdriver to get a good fit. Might take a few tries to get right, but can confirm a good reliable contact can be made.
The Porsche wiring looms have a the proper connector, but not sure if this is available to buy - others may chime in here. The end of the sender does not unscrew. It is designed to work with a slide on receptacle for any orientation of the sender once torqued home. - Tony |
