Ran it for about 1 hr prior to draining excess oil. The motor is a "73 1.7. Thanks.

I think you could also talk more about what the significance of oxidation is in the motor i.e. a transition from at neutral pH to a more acidic compound that acts as an electrolytic compound. One of my personal techniques is to never let an engine sit with old oil for prolonged periods. |
