Drivers seatbelt starting making a racket when pulling out belt about 2-3 weeks ago. Both sides need a lot of help retracting and some patience to get back to the parked/fully retracted position.
I've read threads, watched videos and like one of them that said to soak the mechanisms in hot water/dish soap. Free up all that 40+ year old hardened grease. No change for me. I sent both to Seat Belt Planet for reconditioning. Now they retract and work great.

I have a pair from SB planet that I've never installed, but haven't decided if I can live with the way they look compared to the stock belts. Would much rather just recondition the stock ones if they will actually work like new again. |
