Anyone run these Mobelwagen wheels?
I’m kind of diggin’ the interceptor, but the backspacing on the 15 x 5.5 is 4”. I think they’ll be fine with the 185’s that came with my car but would require some work on the rear fender lips if I ever move to 205’s. They do have the “schnell” for less money and proper backspacing - and kind of look like 4 lug aftermarket Fuchs. They’d go on this car. My 1st 914 that I recently acquired from TDSkip (thanks Tom!). |

Question: How do you balance these wheels? The wheel balancing machines I am familiar with needs a round hole to center the wheel. Do you need some kind of round ring adaptor temporarily mounted to it?

Question: How do you balance these wheels? The wheel balancing machines I am familiar with needs a round hole to center the wheel. Do you need some kind of round ring adaptor temporarily mounted to it? The RoadForce machines that use the hub to mount have a large cone and several adapters so that they can fit almost every wheel. Same could be used here. This is essentially the old aircooled VW T2 wheels done in aluminum instead of steel (and 4 lug, for a beetle instead of a bus).
