Well, it looks like I'm the lucky winner...somewhat accidentally. In the last hour of the auction I put in a minimum bid just to throw my hat in the ring and see what action there was. Turned out nobody had set a higher automatic bid and I was the winner!
Next Tuesday the seller is flying in from Hawaii and we'll complete the deal. There are a lot of issues with this car and questions to be answered but it has lots of strong points also. Not really sure what path I'll take on this rare piece but it will be an adventure. I'll start another thread to document what I discover as the 'bee is resurrected. |
