Got a line on a 924. Needs some body work and has not been run is about 6 or 8 months. It was a donated vehicle and no price has been set. What is the general consensus on the 924 and would it be worth it if I could get it for $200 or $300 buck? I know it had an audi motor in it and was underpowered. But tell me a little more about them. What do you know about them?

well, i guess i should say something here...
i have had a 944, 924s and an 81 924. I got the 924 for 300 usd and had every intent of making it a track car. I put 450usd in fuel pumps in the thing + some other stuff to get it running. With the bursch header and tune up i did, the car was a rocket. Before i got to get too involved i ended up getting my 924s and the teener. My advise, if it is decent and your not going to try to make it a 944 or something, they can be fun cars much like the teener. They handle great with little effort. Doing much like swapping wheel lug patterns, brakes etc can add up fast and youd be better off buying a 944 or an "s" right off the bat. I do like them though, mine was kinda rough..a dog had been living in it. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/unsure.gif) |
