Quick update!
This transaxels has actually been a lot of fun! Removing the speedo bushing was the most frustrating but it came out. New gaskets and bushings are in and fresh synchros too! Okay huge thanks so far to Dr Evil who has given me the confidence to tear into this thing! Putting the case back together and refilling with gear oil is all that's left! the plan is still to mate the 901 to a Hyper 9 175V which has similar RPM to the 2.0 that was in there originally. After paint then fishing the resto and install the EV bits under the guidance of Mark @914electric. More updates. 1 year to go till Drivers Permit!

Great job!

My wife and I attended a Dr. Evil rebuild clinic and both transmissions continue to work flawlessly… but can still smell the brake cleaner (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Let’s us know how it works…
