I have to weld in a new front trunk pan replacing the hole left from an AC unit. I have taken two MIG classes. Beside being a newbie, I have other limitations to consider.
I don’t have access to a 220 line. I’m inexperienced. It would cost me $1000 to have it professionally done. And I don’t want to buy a bunch of equipment for one job. Can I use a flux welder? There a couple cheap units at Harbor Freight (under $150) on sale right now. What don’t I know that I should know? Thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) |

That's the look I want. And you say you use bedliner? Any special paint to cover the bedliner?

That's the look I want. And you say you use bedliner? Any special paint to cover the bedliner? Last year I tried bed liner, Wurth tan body schutz and another product that escapes my memory i like the body schutz best, but the bed liner did a great job too. The Wurth material took some finding, but you can reuse what you don’t spray. My bed liner was a two component mix. My bed liner was Raptor, but it is probably similar to the others. Why are all of the bed liners named after some aggressive carnivore? Was thinking of going to the FLAPS and asking for a pint of sprayable blood lust or war lord. |

I used some raptor as well but that was not near as good as the monsta liner. I did the entire underside of my car with it. Worked great. |
