A couple years ago while knee deep in my house remodeling project this outstanding 914 race car came to auction with no reserve. I thought this might be a perfect chance to build a GT-3 SCCA racer so here I go!

It might be, I have to ask Doug After the crash at Summit point I cut everything off the chassis except the front suspension box and the main flat floor. By this point i knew the fiero design was not all that good anyways. So i did my own design off what was left using a strut/ trailing arm setup per SCCA rules. Once done it was better right out of the box. 7 lap records and 30 or so wins from 1989-1991 at the national level. I did a redesign for the wider track and radial tires in 1993 and thats what you see here. |
