914 Wizard? No way. I got too much to learn. Group: Members Posts: 4,099 Joined: 21-April 03 From: Gig Harbor, WA Member No.: 598 |
I drove 160 miles Wednesday trying to seat the rings. I used 3 1/2 quarts of oil. I would have made a Navy destroyer proud.
So, today I went looking for reasons. There was a small leak at the oil pump so, I resealed that and a little oil on the bottom of the oil filter. Neither could explain my oil consumption so off with the heads (and PCs too). Attached image(s) |

Good thing...I didn't think it was a big deal [the oil question that is] (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) Keep the customer satisfied Jake, it's the only way. I agree it needs to be gone over in detail to find the source...odd thing (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif) Consulting with this group and people of your expertise was key to the sucess I have had with my rebuild so far. The "right" break in is crucial. |
