This was my 3rd 914. It was an 1974 2.0 and was originally red but someone had painted it a dark green metallic when I bought it. I painted it back to factory red and did 916 bumpers and a whaletail…….hey, it was the 80’s!

I had this car from ‘84 to ‘86, wonder where it now?? (Sorry, no vin#)

And on today’s episode of fun with flags. . . The stars and bars flag most definitely is not the common confederate battle flag that adorns the General Lee.

you got me googling there @Superhawk996 .
boning up.

yes flag i eroniously mentioned doesn't seem quite as problematic a one.
i see traces of its original design are still there in broad horizontal bands of some state flags.

i guess my original comment pertained to relative frequency with which you see the USA flag flying all across America which is what i was talking about (but had mistakenly named). its quite a contrast to australia where the flag is more or less restricted to government and institutional buildings. your flag in my humble opinion is a much prettier design than the australian flag and is a nice adornment to see. it was something that struck me when i first went to the USA half a lifetime ago. you notice it straight away when you come from another country.
