While cruising through Arnie's post project thread a comment he posted made me do a bit of searching.

Arnie's thread: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=320359

What my search for "Toyota head light kit" revealed was this

https://cruiserteq.com/oem-toyota-koito-h4-...s-elec81110kit/

That shows a pair of "OEM" glass 7" housings, H4 bulbs, and what looks like a pretty nice harness with relays.

For $42.50...

Hands down this is the least expensive route to glass housing H4 set up.

If the parts are actually made in Japan, the quality will be excellent.

I'd order today if I hadn't already solved my headlight gathering with a used 914Rubber LED kit.

The glass H4 housings individually are often more than that whole kit.

One of the more common LED replacement bulbs is for the H4.

Hope this helps someone...

I'm planning on running LEDs if I can find a H4 LED capsule I like.

With the LEDs all the additional relays and wiring are un-needed and can be used for other things. Most of the time now-a-days the damn pigtails/connectors are MORE expensive than the relays themselves and SOME of the relays list for MORE than $100.

I just recently hit one, compressor clutch relay for a 2005 4runner lists for 130, my cost 105 and it is EXACTLY the same relay that Honda uses for their clutch relays.

The Toy got a Honda relay (list 32/ cost 24)

I have not been able to purchase a single high-quality relay cheaper than the Honda ones (which actually fit a shitload of stuff) ...

So, the relays ALONE make this kit a good deal, even if I don't use them on the 914...

If you're using Halogen bulbs you will NEED the relays!

I have used the 30amp Bosch relays (the made in Germany ones!) and one version had two output connections at "87". These relays could run 40 amps and I would use a single relay for both sides of either low or high beam. I would feed power to "30" direct from alternator battery lug via a 50amp fuse link.

My hotrod euro Halogen bulbed set ups in a Z could melt snowfall 10 feet out from the front of the car!
