While cruising through Arnie's post project thread a comment he posted made me do a bit of searching.
Arnie's thread: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=320359 What my search for "Toyota head light kit" revealed was this https://cruiserteq.com/oem-toyota-koito-h4-...s-elec81110kit/ That shows a pair of "OEM" glass 7" housings, H4 bulbs, and what looks like a pretty nice harness with relays. For $42.50... Hands down this is the least expensive route to glass housing H4 set up. If the parts are actually made in Japan, the quality will be excellent. I'd order today if I hadn't already solved my headlight gathering with a used 914Rubber LED kit. The glass H4 housings individually are often more than that whole kit. One of the more common LED replacement bulbs is for the H4. Hope this helps someone... |

What were these designed for? All that comes to mind is a retrofit for the old FJ40. Looks like Toyota is blowing them out, may not be available too far in the future.
I may buy a set just to have on the shelf. |

I may buy a set just to have on the shelf. They are designed to retrofit the FJ40's and J60s sold here in the states that came with sealed beam 7" round headlight assemblies and any other Toyota that uses the 7" round headlights. If anyone else would be interested in a kit I could order a few more if there is interest. I currently only ordered 1 set for myself today at work. |
