New member here...
I'm piss poor at the search function on this site and was trying to find fitment info on this set up. https://fuchswheelcompany.ca/product/16x7-f...eel-for-porshe/ They list it a 16X7 with an offset of 23.3. From what I have found so far, they look like they might require 12 mm spacers to work on a stock 75 914 narrow body. This car will be at or near stock ride height and a weekend play toy. It currently has no sway bars but that will probably change... I'm planning on using PBR's 5 lug 914-4 front rotors, the Uro 914 5 lug rear flange with turned down PBR 914-6 rear rotors, and stock calipers. I'd like to use this tire. (205/60r16) https://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchRe...performance=ALL I'm new to the 914 and can't figure offsets properly yet on this chassis I would appreciate thoughts, tips and any suggestions. Do I have a chance? |

Back then there were multiple places to buy the clones.
I think "MaxLight" was the normal source for most folks. They were $30+ more expensive each than DR911. Shipping charges as well. DR911 had free shipping then. I DID have one problem... I had the tire mounted and balanced by the local Discount tires. Shit happened, other stuff got in the way, my father up and died... Wheels never got mounted on the car. I am doing a 5-lug conversion to the car that is NOT finished. I noticed, on two of the wheels, the FREAKING wheel weights FELL OFF. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) They make a special heavy roller than you are SUPPOSED to use after you apply the stick on weights. This helps bond the adhesive to the wheel. If I'm doing used wheels, I'll clean the shit out of the barrels to assist with the adhesion of the weights. The tire shops NEVER clean the wheels... These were NEW and even then I cleaned the barrels with dish soap and water. Those puppies DID NOT use that roller tool! And, really, I know better. I didn't either... Now I get to take them back, before ever using them, and have them re-balanced! I'd buy those in a heartbeat! You can't buy new rubber for $400... I'm not a fan of Falkens but I'd be FINE with those! |
