Thinking of our LA family, Please stay safe Options

Hi Guys,

The devastation of the fires in LA is unimaginable. So many people have lost everything and times like these really hammer home what's important in life...family, friends, pets and health. Of course, our cars add a lot of joy to our lives as well and I fear that many prized vehicles will be lost.

I think I speak for everyone when I say "we're here for you".

Please post and let us know if there's anything this community can do to help.

Yes praying for those involved with the fire.

It reminds me of the Colorado Marshall fire in Dec 2021. I live south of Marshall and we are always riding our bicycles in that area. It was crazy to see homes incinerated to white ash. The wind was like a forge that day.

It blew down my fence (see picture) breaking 4 4x6 cedar posts. A bike ride in January after the fire showed just white ash...looked like snow and nothing standing.

We have friends whos house and their neighborhood burned to the ground. They had an open house last month to celebrate moving back into their new home after rebuild. He is daily fighting the insurance company over details. Stuff like the original house didn't have low-e glass, the new one does. I don't believe they even sell non low-e glass anymore. The insurance company considers that an upgrade and does not want to cover the cost.

It's going to be a long process for those whos houses and belongings were burned to get a home rebuilt in L.A.
