After bringing the gauge cluster tin to bare metal already, do I powder coat (I have a small powder coating unit) or do I paint it? Should it be gloss or a flat? What do you think? open to suggestions. Thanks!

I'd paint.
Powdercoat is thick and doesn't take manipulation well, tends to chip off. I haven't re-installed Porsche bezels before, but most others require bending the lip to secure. I'm not sure PC would accept that. I'd use "low gloss black" Dupli-Color DE 1634 if I was hunting "stock". The body color idea from the previous post might be killer too! Edit: Sorry, thought you were referring to the bezels. Powdercoat might work fine for the gauge plate. |
