Watched an old race on YouTube last nite. Riverside ‘84
Never saw this 914 before, if I have I’ve forgotten. Finished 17th. Excellent seeing the 962 of Holbert on its debut. If not for a mix up on last pit, would have finished 1st. Anyway, the 914 was piloted by a fellow “Topper” Chasse. You west coast guys prolly knew him. From what I’ve read he had a few championships under his belt. The IMSA body kits were always interesting to cheat the wind. Screenshot of car and one i found on net. Attached thumbnail(s)

Marty i don’t remember the Lynn St James dust up. I’ll have to search that. Yeah been going through the vids on YouTube. Fantastic we know have access to them. Good ol Diamond P Sports which then think had a hand with ESPN communications regarding races. Maybe same producer. Anyway I’m a big fan of Holbert since I discovered IMSA as a teenager! Cried the day Al passed away in the plane crash. Holbert & Bell quite formidable. |
