a few years ago when I painted the Westy I had about 2500 tied up in epoxy, highbuild, single stage, a good filler and a good glaze. I did all the labor. I have a Vanagon that's going to need paint soon and I really want to spend less on it. I wish I could just drive it as is. And my 914 could really use a going over as well, given that the paint I put down there is now about 20 years old. But I'm not painting it till I get around to welding the flares on and doing the 5 lug. A $500 option sure sounds better then $2500. Zach |
