My cigarette lighter is not working (not sure why yet, but don't think I have blown fuse,) therefor I don't have power for my phone or dash cam.
I have not crawled under the dash yet to look for any broken wire connections. Are there any tricks to removing it? --TIA |

I swiped out my lighter socket for a dual USB plus digital voltmeter. An easy and inexpensive mod.

I swiped out my lighter socket for a dual USB plus digital voltmeter. An easy and inexpensive mod. Ditto, I did the same (but not with voltmeter). If the cig lighter is powered direct, I'd expect that whatever you have plugged into it (e.g., phone) would not be connected all the time, and I suspect the LED (if the plug has one) would not be a significant battery draw. |
