Kinda crazy: The GT isn't even close to the most expensive auction currently underway from that same seller/broker.

Kinda crazy: The GT isn't even close to the most expensive auction currently underway from that same seller/broker. ![]() you would expect the 904 to go stratospheric. who knows re the more modern ones? the real action will be right at the end. this is just foreplay. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) i imagine the 904 will go for some very significant number. and i would be very surprised if the GT did not achieve a significant result. the nice thing about BAT is the level of accessible documentation. if this was sotherby type auction etc as a general fan of the 914 you don't really get to see this level of reveal. BAT is turning into a significant virtual museum archive if nothing else. its certainly been of real value for even the humble 1.8s in working out how they went down - and thats of some significance considering it was the first engine and second car to get L jetronic - a major moment in the history of engine technology that was kind of missed at the time the cars were being produced. |
