Anyone following 914s on Bring a Trailer?, 914 sales value on BAT Options

I am fascinated with the prices on BAT 914, anyone else is following..

I dealt with them on an inquiry to consign my 356 on BAT earlier this year. The fees are really high. I think they get 10% and like a $1,500 listing fee to start. It goes up from there if you want dry ice treatment, etc. They wanted a top reserve of $75k on mine. I sold it locally for $85k and got to keep all of that money. It's an interesting business model, but very expensive for the seller. Now, they may have gotten more than $85k for my car, but no way they covered that level of fees.

For a long time when the market was really hot, you had to wait for a long time to get your car listed on BAT and it was a little bit of a pain. These guys were basically a power seller and had some pull and understood what made it work. At the end of the day, it's basically a used car dealership. Like many of them, your mileage may vary. They started out here in Portland and expanded to Arizona.I know some very good people that have worked there but they are no longer there. I have never heard of any intentionally shady (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stromberg.gif) And I know my friends would not have tolerated any of that. But they do seem much happier now.
