There have been a number of questions regarding the track layout. This has been posted before, but FYI here is a map and quick video tour. The short solid lines on the map show blocked off parts we will not use. Biggest issue is a banked turn at the north end that's a bit too fast for us old guys. The straight is 1000' long so you will get a chance to wind it out.

Streets is a really fun track. Going clockwise or counter clockwise. Here’s a quick tour going clockwise. Turn 1 is the kink at the end of the straight, you can take it going flat out uphill to turn 2. Turn 2 is a blind turn, you have to turn in before you see the turn, if you don’t, you will end up in the gravel. Going to Turn 3 is downhill, make the turn to the outside of the sweeper uphill to turn 4. Turn 4 is tight, just try to get around it. From Turn 4 to Turn 5 is a uphill sweeper. Turns 5 and 6 can be driven as a double apex turn. Coming off Turn six is downhill, there is a chicane, if you hit it right, you can blast straight thru at full throttle, you’ll feel the tires on each side of the car bounce, one at a time as you blast thru the chicane. At the bottom is Turn 7, a hard left, don’t loose it there, there is a really big hole off to the right that will rip your suspension off, bend a wheel if you hit it. Turns 8 and 9 are ok. If you hit the skid pad right, you can throw your car into a 4 wheel drift, 3rd gear, full throttle back onto the straight, do not lift, you’ll go into the wall if you do.
One suggestion. In the morning, take your first 2 laps of each run group under yellow (caution) flag to warm up tires. There’s a lot of old rubber on that track, with cold tires, it can get real slippery. My best time at Streets is 1:23.5 with POC, driving my stock 914-6. Have fun and be safe. Later, Don |
