There have been a number of questions regarding the track layout. This has been posted before, but FYI here is a map and quick video tour. The short solid lines on the map show blocked off parts we will not use. Biggest issue is a banked turn at the north end that's a bit too fast for us old guys. The straight is 1000' long so you will get a chance to wind it out.

Slow Lap

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/agree.gif) It's a very fun track. In addition to all the turns, note the elevation changes on the map...which means the car is weight-transferring up and down as well as left-right. For me the only "pucker spots" (clockwise) are braking and downshifting for 2 where the rear gets a bit light and squirrely, and then finding the cajones to carry proper speed down the hill through the kink. I have the same issue on the Willow big track in turn 5...in both places you're accelerating balls-out downhill towards a 90+ deg left hander.

I would add a suggestion to everyone to bring plenty of water, snacks, sunscreen & hat etc., chair, and an EZ-up if you have one. This is a "primitive" facility in the middle of the desert. The sun and wind can get brutal and the only shelter is in a non-A/C'd cinderblock garage, or the portapotties.

You may also want to bring a gas can or two, as your options will be $5/gal race gas or driving 9 miles back to the freeway junction for pump fuel.
