My '75 914 2.0 liter was stored for 25 of its 30 years. Consequently it is very - very original. It still has all of its smog equipment intact and operating. It even has the "big brother seatbelt - ignition lockout operational.
I hear a rumor that there was a recall due to fracturing plastic fuel lines in '77. The reason I ask is that I have a fuel smell in my interior. Not just annoying but more than a bit concerning... Hmmm Anyone know more about the recall? Would Porsche still perform the work all these years after the recall? Anyone have a similar experience with recall work not done? Appreciate any help... There was a fuel line replacement recall campaign called "HO", and it is my understanding that if your VIN isn't on record as having been done, they will still perform it today. |
