I guess I got you all topped! I purchased a real nice '74 2.0, bad paint but solid rust fairly rust free, great longs, five Fuchs, A/C with center console, Bilstein suspension pkg, front & rear sways, black with tan interior. Fair price not a steal, but worth what I paid.
As soon as I got the car, long before I ever started tearing the car apart, I tried to find the previous owners and got nothing but dead ends. About six months later, I started taking it apart to start restoring it, and found a .75 carat marquis solitare engagement ring under the center console!!! Our local jeweler, without taking the diamond out of the mount roughly valued the stone at $1500!!! So if any of you guys are getting engaged let me know, I'll give you a great deal on a ring.
