I could see a 914 as a pace car for the 24 hours in '71 but, the 500 is odd.

I stand corrected.

But I still think they were having a tough time staying up on the banking with two guys in a 1.7.

Not a problem staying on the banking....have done several laps of California Speedway with the teener and it sticks up high and dives in really<h1>NICE</h1>

Daytona banking is 31 degrees. It's like a wall when you stand at the bottom of it.
