I'm sure most of you have seen this on ebay. The ONLY reason I'm even considering it is because it's less than an hour from my home. I'm thinking take what I need, part the rest of it out on e-bay till it's nothing but a shell with 4 wheels.
I'm going to try to actually go view the car this week, and I'll make him an offer to just sell it to me outright. Whats it worth??? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2421544916 |

I value a parts car based on what can be sold easily. Let's break this one down.
Alloy Wheels: Mmm...no sorry. Good Seats: Ahh...nope. Engine: "been sitting for several years, & I have not tried to start it since I bought it, so I do not know anything about it". Let's see how much that adds...sorry still zero. Tail Light Lenses: Well, this car has them but we can't tell what shape they are in. Let's throw caution to the wind and assign a $50 value to them. Chrome Bumpers: Again, it has them but we don't know the condition. Add $200. Engine Grill Letters: Assume good shape metal letters, $20. Carbs: The listing says the car has carbs. Depending on what kind they are and their condition add zero to $200 dollars. Trans: Unknown condition $50 Luggage Rack: Priceless So, based on what I see, you could possibly get a minimum of $320 for what you could sell off. However, you would then be left with a rusting heap in your driveway. How much would it cost to get rid of that? |
