Okay let's get the ball moving here. Portland is the official site for the 2006 WCC #3 July 7-8-9.
It is going to piggyback on the Portland Historic races, go here for more information on the historics... http://www.portlandhistorics.com/ I have spoken to the operations manager on thursday, and she is very supportive of our group using the Portland Historics as a piggyback event. She is open to suggestions and will discount group ticket sales. Hotels are plentiful and close to the racetrack, but we need to get them booked early. Shopping and restaurants are closeby. Indoor go kart track, just up the freeway. Golf course next to the track. The weather in July will be fabulous, warm and sunny, but not sweltering. Volunteers will be needed and I will ask for all the help I can get. So plan on the beautiful Pacific Northwest for the WCC 2006. CCLINWTFHAVEIDONE |

For me the date of the last two WCC was the problem, now with a July date for 2006 this could be doable (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif) we could drive, umm 2147 miles with, at that time 4yrold, while trying to pull my 914 behind the truck (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/screwy.gif) Then again we could fly out (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif)
Start out going WEST on CENTRAL AVE toward VIVIAN ST. 0.3 miles 2: Turn RIGHT onto WILLOWCREEK RD. 0.5 miles 3: Merge onto I-80 W (Portions toll). 1374.6 miles 4: Merge onto I-84 W via EXIT 168 toward OGDEN. 770.3 miles 5: Take the I-5 S exit on the LEFT toward SALEM/BEAVERTON. 0.3 miles 6: Take the exit toward CITY CENTER/MORRISON ST.. 0.3 miles 7: Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto MORRISON BRIDGE. 0.2 miles 8: Stay STRAIGHT to go onto ramp. <0.1 miles 9: Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto SW WASHINGTON ST. 0.1 miles 10: Turn RIGHT onto SW 4TH AVE. 0.2 miles 11: Turn LEFT onto NW COUCH ST. <0.1 miles 12: End at Portland, OR US Total Est.
