New 914 owner here, just a few questions I have that I'm sure you guys will have the answer to! First off, it's 1973 1.7.
What should be the first things that should be done to the engine to help it out? The brakes are new, so is the clutch. Also, I tire/wheel question. Right now there are the steel wheels with hubs on it, and they just aren't cutting it. I'm hoping to keep in orginal or at least Porsche wheels. What's the compatible wheel for it and what's the best size tire to go on the rear and fronts?! Thanks for your time! Welcome !!!!
for engine, just make sure you do a full tune up if you do not know the history of it.... for the rims and tires, popular 914 rims are the Fuchs, Mahles and Pedrinis....tire sizes range from 195/60/15's to 205/50/15's depending on the use of the vehicle and how you like the ride....most /4 guys run the same size on all 4 corners... |
