On one of the airbrush boards I frequent, I read a funny post. An artist was hired to paint a restored car to look like it did before the restoration. By this, the owner meant to replicate dents, rust throught, rust bubbles, etc. The artist did a pretty good job. I could only imagine one of our own 914 maniacs doing the same.

i think you're on to something.
a few yeaars back, there were actually spray cans of "Mud," "Clay," and "Dirt" for the 44 owner who never went offroad but wanted the vehicle to (always) look like it was fresh from the mud bog... i've looked at airbrushing a "carbon fiber" texture but i think it'd actually be easier and cheaper to overlay with real carbon fiber... |
