working on a bradley GT for a friend, and i cant seem to get the engine to idle. I pulled the carburetor off, and the choke wasnt even connected, so i wired that up, and cranked it, and it did idle for about five minutes. Then i turned it off, and when i tried to start it again, it wouldn't idle....its really annoying. It has a Solex 34 PICT-3 carburetor on it. Are there supposed to be washers on the jets in it??? anything else that could be wrong? All info is appreciated.

009 distributor right? if so then....
ditch the 009 for the SVDA they sell at aircooled.net and it will idle fine. otherwise you need to modify the carb to make it function correctly with the 009. I think there is an article about that on Aircooled too. maybe? I think so. |
