I just got a call from Brenda at the Route 66 Diner in Ash Fork, AZ to confirm that we are coming this Saturday. I'm encouraged that she called me. I think that speaks well for her business.
Brenda told me that she is a photographer and that she'd like to start a "photo wall" for her restaurant so she asked if we'd be willing to have her photograph our group and cars. I said "sure"! We're going to be the first photo on her wall. In addition, the editor of the local newspaper in Ash Fork is going to be there on Saturday to take photos so our group can get written up in the local paper. According to Brenda "the whole town is excited about" us coming to town. Now Ash Fork is certainly a very small town, but that's still cool! So come Saturday dressed in your finest 914 gear and with your car all clean and shiny. Remember - 9:14 a.m. at the Route 66 Diner, 322 Lewis Ave., Ash Fork, AZ for breakfast. It's the start of a great day of driving along old Route 66 through Kingman and Oatman with dinner at the end of the day at The Avi resort & casino. We'll make a stop along the way at Grand Canyon Caverns for some cool fun. Weather is expected to be very nice. Morning lows in Williams/Ash Fork are expected to be about 36F, with afternoon highs in Kingman expected to be 93F. 22 mph winds are expected in the afternoon so it will only feel like 86 (and with the top off it will be even cooler than that!) Don't miss out! This is supposed to be you, this Saturday, in Northern Arizona: (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving-girl.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif) |
