I have received a couple of e-mails asking me to confirm my Paypal account information for "security reasons". The links are spoofed to non Paypal websites.
The e-mails are addressed to Eastonfund@iepg.com. This is an e-mail that I specifically set up for this club and only advertised on this club. There are a number of known viruses that scan your e-mail inbox for confirmations sent from Paypal. It sends an e-mail to the other party (in this case to me using the e-mail address I set up as Eastonfund@iepg.com). So... I received contributions from 100+ people. One or more of you has a virus. I would recommend to ALL of you to get a good antivirus program and check your system for spyware regularly. Programs like Adaware and Spybot are FREE. Thanks! Qarl |

okay here's the scoop( from hacker's point of view--i'm not a hacker) M$ designs a Operating System with MANY MANY security flaws in it.. the MS people don't want to use funding to fix the problems when they come up, so the microsoft people simply ignore it. it's like the apollo 13 mission.....same thing but sometimes it takes viruses to explain to people that patching is required. Now this is the point of view for "Good Hackers" Bad ones are out there to take advantage of you There are two breeds..... |
