I have received a couple of e-mails asking me to confirm my Paypal account information for "security reasons". The links are spoofed to non Paypal websites.

The e-mails are addressed to Eastonfund@iepg.com. This is an e-mail that I specifically set up for this club and only advertised on this club.

There are a number of known viruses that scan your e-mail inbox for confirmations sent from Paypal. It sends an e-mail to the other party (in this case to me using the e-mail address I set up as Eastonfund@iepg.com).

So... I received contributions from 100+ people. One or more of you has a virus.

I would recommend to ALL of you to get a good antivirus program and check your system for spyware regularly. Programs like Adaware and Spybot are FREE.

Thanks!

Qarl

It's probably safe to assume that most people who don't scan regularly for spyware have it in one form or another.

Download Lavasoft Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy, both tools work well. Also make sure you have an antivirus program, MacAfee seems decent.
