Currently in my locale, our AX courses are very much like miniature road courses. Instead of figuring out where the "course" is, driver's must figure out where the "line" is. It's not just point and shoot. Usually you're trying to resolve where to sacrifice some speed that will translate to a greater speed/time advantage moments later. Recently we've been doing two consecutive laps per timed run. However, we do always incorporate one or two slaloms. I love the slaloms in our cars. They're pretty open and fast. I usually hit my rev-limiter in 3rd gear (it's a "flipped" 5th). In fact, I'm usually in 3rd most of the course except for a few tight turns. I like this style of AX. About the only downside is that it sometimes tends to favor HP advantaged cars. It's all good.
