I have developed a deluxe heat exchanger kit for my Tangerine Super headers.
It uses the passenger side "S" box from the stock HE system, in modified form. Below is a pic of the special pieces used to attach my HE box to the blower housing and to both sides of the car through flapper boxes. What I need to know is: Who has a surplus of the "S" boxes to send me? Are they worth any more than the cost of shipping? Attached image(s) |

i think they are. for those changing out 75' and later h.e.s for earlier systems you need the proper duct work. good idea chris. when folks do the switch you see "wtb duct work for early heat exchanger" ads. would putting the left flapper valve on the right and vice versa, and flipping them upside down work? small pieces of header heat wrap might do the job for the flex tube. new flapper boxes are avail. not cheap but available. the little seal and the rivet go south with age.
