Ok, so ~ 10 days ago I installed temp sender....

Taco plate leaked like crazy. So tonight I drained oil and pulled it back apart.

choices:
1) re-install with new gasket and more sealer
2) put old cover back on and install the temp sender I got that replaces drain plug.

Issue taco plate sender says 200 deg and drain plug says 150 deg.

So what do I do? I could swap temp for oil presure too....

What would you do?

first - izzat F or C? if it's C (as i expect, because 150F oil temp max is silly...) either will be enough - but only one will be ACCURATE with your gauge head; pick the one that is.

i'd go for 3) straighten/flatten the taco plate (which gets its name because it WARPS LIKE CRAZY) until it WILL seal, then use the correct number of the correct gaskets and torque it the correct amount.
