before i put the 914 in storage (or worse) and buy a miata or rx7 to spec race,,,,,,,
i don't have the resources to run Production, but i'm wondering if anyone has ever raced their 914 in IT? given the power:weight ratios of some of the other cars, it does not seem like it would be terribly competitive with the 2.0 in ITA or the 1.7 in ITB, but i'm curious if anyone actually has some experience with this. Bontempi runs a 1.8, but it probably north of 170hp and kicked most people butts. I'd suggest you give him a call to determine which class to run. He had more tear downs to prove his cc's than any person alive. Rules are never fair; Rich was out there running with cars you wouldn't believe and beating them. If you're going to run your 914 get used to upside down rules. |
