2 914s at the pca concours today..a 75 and 76

the 76 was a one owner with 24,000 original miles..and totally perfect in every way..i couldnt believe it

the 75 is owned by tod914 here, 60k miles and very nice and original as well..

then someone had an original six that was kinda butchered, 2.8 liter with rear flares, cage, racing buckets and a 4 point harness...for sale for 14k

QUOTE (i love porsche @ Aug 14 2005, 12:04 PM)
i agree to each his own..but  its an original six...id wrather see it stock

what is funny about comments like that is 30 years ago, heck, even 20 years ago, not many people gave a hoot that is was original, it was nothing really special way back then...now people see a "molested" 914/6 and get bent out of shape (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)

how boring would it be if all the original cars had never been modified???? Think of the all the 914/6 race cars owned by individuals that would have never been built......

yes, you have the freedom of calling that /6 butchered, but don't think that it does not offend the current owner or perhaps a previous owner that built the car years ago....end of rant (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)
