just got a 911sc front end with a underbody sway, about 19mm, didnt check yet.
I have a 19mm thru body on the car. Options: - use the underbody as is - put new u-tabs on the 911 control arms and use thru body. - mix match 914/control arms with the 911 front???? Can I keep the 19mm torsions that way?? I gotta feeling the answer is cut and weld but thought I'd ask... |

I would recommend a thru-body bar in the front. I have a 160lb rear springs, 21mm Welt front bar, and stock rear bar. The set-up that Trekkor has and that I have (too a point) is a different way of thinking than some serious long-time racers out there (that is why some dissagree).
The idea is to run an oversize front sway bar (31mm) and stock torsion bars to keep the streetability and to allow for a huge range of adjustments. With large torsion bars, you can't make adjustments very quickly. -Britain |
