914 wing, Where is the best mounting point for ins Options

Who has installed a wing on their 914 and how did you do it? Can the uprights be mounted outboard of the trunk lid? Any experience with the wings offered by GT Racing? I am talking about a functional wing 72" wide, not a cosmetic one. I would like to access my trunk where the battery and my ignition modules live without disassembling the wing to get there (the trunk lid is a lift-off FG and not hinged). TIA.

I chose 0, 3, and 7 degrees. My goal was to have high speed oversteer and low speed oversteer. Thanks, Bill and to all who responded. It sounds like you are pleased with the performance of the GT Racing wing. I cound not find any details about the specific performance numbers like efficiency, drag, etc. In fact I could not find many other sources for wings. Anybody have more sources?

On fast tracks like Willow Springs I find that I am dancing around a lot particularly in turns 8 and 2. How much straght line speed do you give up when you install a wing? I want to break the 1:30 barrier at Willow and think I need a wing to do it.
